Tuesday, September 26. 2006I may never go to FHE again
Holy crap they have managed to do it again. I sat down last night to relax from another hectic day of work and stress. I was all prepared to sit and vegetate the night away. That didn't happen.
Instead of having a peaceful evening of respite and inactivity, I found myself amped and jittery. You see a new show premiered on NBC last night; Heroes. I will not in any way spoil the plot, but suffice it to say, it looks to me like it is going to be much better than the last two Xmen movies were. Great writing, good acting, and several fantastic stories all waiting to join together in one powerful, unstoppable saga. No longer will I only have Studio 60. Heroes has captured my imagination. If you somehow missed it, you can catch it on their NBC page, by following the link above. Totally check it out. By way of follow up Studio 60 also kicked total butt last night with another brilliant story. Trackbacks

Yes, that did sound rather hypocritical.

unstoppable has two p's
I enjoyed the premier of "Heroes", but parts of it bothered me. They sold the heavy far too early, and when you have to inform your audience at the outset of your tale that it is an 'epic' adventure...well, that generally means it's not. However, they appear to have thought out the connections between characters in advance, and have some idea of where the show is supposed to go - unlike, say, "Six Degrees", which I found supremely disappointing in its pilot episode. Re: Studio 60 - Another one smashed right out of the ballpark for Mr. Sorkin.
The *only* disappointment here was that we don't get to actually WATCH "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip". It would be the PERFECT follow-up hour program to "Studio 60" itself...we watch the fictional, behind the scenes story about the show, and then actually watch. the. show. Radar on :
What typo?

You freakin' read my mind!! I felt exactly the same way. Wait what am I thinking right now?
I changed my mind, don't ask me what I am thinking. Mad Giggler on :
So what about The Office and My Name Is Earl?
Sideshow on :
Actually to be quite honest the fact that all of these people are completely connected was the biggest dissapointment to Heroes for me.

This I agree with. At least in Ep 2 you get to see a bit of the Cold Open. Which I though was funny with the side effect of gettin a song stuck in my head that I really only know two lines of.
I really really want to see the "Crazy Christians" Skit that started all the furor as well. Wren on :
Yeah, I kinda thought, 'wow, isn't this just nice and tidy?' it was way too...convenient for me.
