This is a x-post from Winged
Wolves.

So apart from spending most of my day either working or wrangling four children, I generally have an hour or so to
myself. I’ve spent a lot of time since last November playing Skyrim on my XBox (which could probably be a post for
another time.) I also play other video games (including spending a lot of time with Anne and her siblings playing League
of Legends together) and have even instigated XBox Friday at work, but really I’m using this piece of the internet to
talk about how my love affair with comic books as been rekindled.
Stop by Night Flight Comics and pick out a free comic book. (While supplies last.)

FCBD at Night Flight Comics (Library Square - 210 E. 400 So.) will start at 11:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m.

FCBD at Night Flight Comics (6222 South State Street) will start at 11:00 a.m. and end at 7:00 p.m.

X-Men Writer Chris Claremont at Library Square

The central theme of Claremont’s X-Men stories is prejudice. The X-Men are blessed and cursed with genetic mutations;
some with visible differences, some not so visible. Claremont portrays the mutant experience as no one has, with
parallels to our own human experience.

His initial unbroken 17-year run on the X-Men is the stuff of industry legend. His run culminated with the launch of the
new title, X-Men, whose first issue sold over 7.6 million copies, a record that stands today. In total, Claremont has
sold in excess of 500,000,000 comics worldwide including work on Aliens Vs Predator, Sovereign Seven, Star Trek and many
more. His X-Men story, “Dark Phoenix,” with its radical treatment of the story’s central character, paved the way
for reinterpretation of the superhero mythos throughout the industry.

Google provides sent me to this web page.

    AoD:

Things went well, but we'll never be satisfied until the year that every con-goer fuses into a single,
omnipotent digital entity. The convention's biggest hurdle is that it happens to be held within the confines of the
physical universe, with its intractable laws and finite space. I wonder who we can talk to about that.

The man continues to churn out the best comedic writing available

MG:
is that from PA? they didn't have their news post up when i checked

AoD:
it is

MG:
I'm on such a freaking PA kick this week
all that coverage of PAX from people whose blogs I read kind of overloaded my system
I got caught in a recursion loop
I feel like going to PAX would be the equivalent of a pilgrimage to Mecca
So I've been wondering ever since I saw the first trailer for the new Incredible Hulk Movie why they would redo the story so soon after pouring millions into the
Ang Lee version. I mean, it was only 2003 when that came out. The reviews were mixed, but that doesn't seem like a
good enough reason to simply write over it.

I guess everyone has noticed the lack of promised comic...but I hope everyone has also noticed the lack of
Malyss/Watchik on WoW, which means that I have been working, not goofing off. I'm having trouble with some of the
angles, (for example, I just can't seem to get Tessa's eyes aligned in one panel ;_;) and things like that, so we should
have a page at least by the next time I see you guys (wed.) Okay? I love you all.

Ok, so Sideshow and I made a trip to the Comic Book shop (Night Flight)
during our lunch hour today. Guess what! They now have a Dragonlance Chronicles comic book
coming out on a regular basis, and they have a trade paperback comic version of the Drizzt Do'Urden origin trilogy. Maybe
I suffer from a little nostalgia when I think of those titles, but they're really what got me interested in the
role-playing universe.

It's kind of funny to think how much of a ripple they've created in the small pond of my life. I probably wouldn't have
ever played Baldur's Gate if I hadn't read the Icewind Dale trilogy (as previously covered here). If I hadn't ever
played Baldur's Gate, I definitely wouldn't have read through its rulebook and probably wouldn't have ever been
interested enough in D&D to ever play it (or at least request Joey to DM for us here at the office). If I hadn't ever
started taking an interest in D&D, I probably would have been turned off by Daboo's profile. So, maybe I'm stretching
things a bit, but at least you can understand why I'd get excited over these old books.

No comic this week. Because I've been recruited as a personal assistant for a new English teacher who is compulsively
anal about things getting done N-O-W. And so I'm in Sandy, and my computer is miles and miles and thirty minutes away,
and there won't be a comic up for...well, days, at least. I know, I know. But, what can you do?
