i don't have anything to say about the season three eps, but i do have a response to something i heard in the last podcast aired.
i disagree with joey's assessment that clones' rights would fall completely into the hands of the person with the original dna. i also feel that since a child's dna is composed of its parents', the parents don't have exclusive rights to the child to do with what they will. obviously, the child has limited rights, but that changes after a certain age. in that context i feel that a clone has limited rights up until its 18th year of existence. during those first 18 years though, abuses against it would and should be illegal.
i'm all for playing god, but once life is created, it's life and needs to be respected as a singular being.
no need to wonder what the rights of clones are. we have clones today. they're called identical twins. the first twin to be born does not have rights over his brother who comes after him.
