One question for you, Radar. What culture celebrates tea ceremonies in our world? Isn't it the same culture that brought us the ninja, the katana, and many of the most deadly of martial arts?

To be fair, the British were fairly warlike at one point in time. And to answer AoD, the British are the only culture with a "tea time" which sounds suspiciously like a ceremony to me. Tea and crackers anyone?

The few times I've had an opportunity to witness a British "tea time", there was nothing to it that I would associate with "ceremony" or "ritual", merely "habit".

Do the Brits actually "celebrate tea ceremonies", or do they just "drink tea"? I'd argue it's the latter.

Read the book *Taiko* by Eiji Yoshikawa, and you will discover that the Japanese were truly a brutal, bloody warrior race with no respect for the lives of individuals, and yet even on the eve of great battles in which they knew they would probably be beheaded or disembowel themselves, they would hold moon-viewing parties where they would recite delicate poetry, go on picnics to view the lovely blossoms on the trees, or conduct elaborate tea ceremonies where politeness was the rule. It seems like a complete conflict, but the Japanese believed that a man's soul can be both beautiful and fierce.

Can we get more elaboration on Joey's idea of fashion? Seeing him almost every weekday gives me pause and causes deep reflection on this. In fact, I might not sleep tonight...
