Jerk.
Thursday, June 30. 2005Sgt. Muffin
Regardless of what the Ancient of Days thinks, people can't be giving themselves nicknames. It just isn't done. We only let TML use his own self-created "Ancient of Days" because I never thought "Mother" was a very good fit, "Sneakers" aside. And I think more people know him as TML than Joey.
So these two muffins are baking in the oven. One says to the other, "Wow, we're expanding." The second muffin replies, "Eek! A talking muffin!" After hearing that joke, I prematurely bestowed the name "Muffin" on our lovely kender. Please, people, we need something better. Ok, person who still lacks a usable pen name/nickname. You now have an account on the Homestarmy. Your username is rose, you'll have to call me for your password. Trackbacks

So apparently TML thinks we're all jerks lately :)
Ancient Of Days on :
BTW: "Ancient of Days" was never meant to be a nickname. It's a nom de plume. :)

Andy proposes: Surrogate Muffin
I'm leaning towards Lewis. BTW, Andy => Kermit? Daboo on :
I have a few suggestions:
Wren (little, brown, extremely noisy bird) Dulcamara (meaning bittersweet, is also a name for deadly nightshade) Daboo on :
BTW, what does TML mean?
Daboo on :
Or why not call her "Kender?"
Mad Giggler on :
The Missing Link
The Markup Language The Muffin Lover (ew, there goes Katie's name) I think we came up with more. . . Nanashi on :
(which is japanese for 'nameless one')
Lewis? What the? Where did that come from? And you can't just call a kender 'Kender' (although, I'm flattered that y'all'd think of me as one) and Rose is outta the question. Eww. Nanashi on :
Oh, and I think that 'Wren' is insulting. I'm not THAT brown.
Mad Giggler on :
erm, Rose is your username (how you log in to post pictures/stories/blog/whatever). TML seems to think you make a good Rosie, though.
Lewis is better/worse than Fred? Sideshow on :
I like Templar, which was the last name of Simon Templar the thief from the Saint
Nanashi on :
I can't help but feel that I need to *earn* this nickname. By some exploit or terribly unbelievable tall tale.
Daboo on :
I know it's hard for you to see your hair, given that it's located behind your eyes, but trust me on this one.
Daboo on :
Anyway, people call kenders "Kender" all the time. As in, "Hey, kender! Get away from that!"
Sideshow on :
But that seems just too generic
Daboo on :
We'll make up a tall tale once we've settled on a name. ;)
nanashi on :
yeah, generic.
Mad Giggler on :
What were all those other names the "Nameless One" had in Torment?
nanashi on :
Stefanie says to go with Sgt. Muffin. (you know, like ::burst into song:: *Sergeant Muffin's lonely hearts club band, we hope you will enjoy the show!*
Ancient Of Days on :
TML stands for "The Missing Link", as in, between Ape and Man. I didn't speak very often in High School, and some joker thought it would be amusing to insinuate that I was...less than evolved. In spite, I began referring to myself by the nickname they had tried to force on me.
Coincidentally, the only other nickname I ever had was also initially given to mock me: "D. I. Joe". Sideshow on :
Well I went to a nickname generator and this is what it suggested:
Little Moustache Feet Daboo on :
I like that one. Little Moustache Feet.
