On a similar note, there's going to be a movie version of Pullman's anti-Christian propaganda piece "The Golden Compass", coming to a theater near you this...errr...Christmas. I don't know, I think that the books are more ... mystical ... than the movie is looking. I mean, there's a pretty girl. It looks like it's trying to be like Eragon, which we all know is a bad idea. I feel a little suspicious of it.

That's unfortunate...I actually can't watch the trailer because I refuse to upgrade from Flash 8 to Flash 9, which it requires in order to play for some completely ridiculous reason.

I don't know why they have to ruin all these good books by making movies for them, but like Harry Potter and Bridge to Terebithia, I will most likely go to see this movie just to check it out and maybe cry a little as another part of my childhood is pulverized. The Mad Giggler on :
