If you give me a crappy game of R-ball on Friday because you haven't been getting enough sleep, I am going to be so pissed. GO TO BED!!!!
Wednesday, February 6. 2008Presidential Stuffs: An Answer for Wren
I've spent some time reviewing their published stances on the issues and here's where I've landed:
Between Romney and any of the Dem candidates, I'll take Romney - I've long thought we needed someone who had some business acumen in the White House Between McCain and Obama, I'll take Obama - if I have to take someone on my left, I may as well go all the way Between McCain and Clinton, I'll take McCain - I can't think of a single instance where I would vote for Clinton As distasteful as it is to me, it looks as if I'll probably be voting for McCain. GO OBAMA GO!
The latest rumor floating around is a McCain-Huckabee ticket. WTF? Sideshow on :
A Clinton/Anyone, vs. McCain/Huckabee ticket is my worst case scenario.
Don't mind McCain but Huckabee scares me. I Mean worse than Dick Cheney Scared. Daboo on :
/agree
Jack Sparrow on :
Huckabee's harmless. That's the problem I have with him. He will get jack done as VP. And after what happened in Virginia, if he doesn't get a seat at the table...well, I guess McCain will prove to be as faithful to Huck as he was to his first wife, so....
Sideshow on :
The only reason that Romney is the most qualified conservative leader to run for president, is because the GOP has had a pretty crappy bunch of candidates since them. However "or longer" and claiming he's the best ever, Is too much of a stretch.
In all Honesty If we're going by their stances on the Issues the Correct person is leading the GOP Race. However I think Romney is much more personable then McCain. And would have voted for Romney over McCain yesterday had I been able. But there really isn't much differentiation between the two IMO. They're both really close. And I can't fully trust that what either of them have said in the past 6 months, is what they will actually do if Elected. The Demoted Jack Sparrow on :
Who's been better, big shot? Show me someone who has his track record in success and execution. When was the last time a politician had actual success outside of politics? Or was able to balance the budget with a state congress who wildly opposed him at every turn? Or turn scandal into a source of pride for the country? Do you even KNOW Romney's record or have you been watching CNN?
Tell me. Who? At the point of their candidacy, who had a better track record of success? Clinton? Bush? Other Bush? CARTER? FORD? NIXON? There's never been a candidate like him. Give me evidence to the contrary. Sideshow on :
There's no denying that recent history has spawned a bunch of unworthy candidates and Yes Romney was possibly the best choice in a while. I just don't think I'd have given him the nod over the Likes of Reagan, Ike, Kennedy, FDR.
And for you info yea I watch CNN, but I also watch MSNBC, Read NYT and Reuters, and Even listen to the GOP News Arm that is Fox News. But none of that matters now as Romney is out. Mad Giggler on :
Jack, did you vote for Perot? Wasn't he a really successful businessman?
Radar on :
*LMAO!*
Scared on :
People are voting for who they can settle with this year, not for who they want to be in office. A McCain/Huckabee ticket vs. a Clinton/anybody ticket would be enough to make me almost kinda wish I was Canadian. Or not. It just wouldn't be good.
The Mad Giggler on :
Hey Stupid Gamer. Pick a frikkin handle already.
Sideshow on :
Truthfully I've yet to ever see anyone who Wanted to be in office, that I'd actually want in office.
Ancient of Days on :
It seems to me that this has been the general tone of elections since Reagan - being offered nothing but evils, we pick those which we consider the lesser.
Jack Sparrow on :
I know you guys don't agree, but Romney has been the most qualified conservative leader since Reagan, probably longer. You really can't point to another candidate and say, "Yep, this guy/gal has a comparable success and experience record. But to your point, we focus on the evils of the candidates rather than on what they bring to the table. That's why many would tolerate Obama. He hasn't done anything so we don't know his evil side yet.
Ancient of Days on :
Who is "you guys"? I'm letting my belief in Romney as a leader overshadow my immense fear of having a Mormon PotUS...I'd say that's a pretty ringing endorsement!
Sideshow on :
Well Clinton might not be the pick now. Obama leads in yesterdays gains.
