The Mad Giggler on :
You *would* be interested in being a super villain, jerk.
Wednesday, January 9. 2008A Movie I'm Excited About
I really enjoyed Mark Millar's "Wanted" graphic novel/comics, so I was excited to see they made it into a movie, even if it does mean another 3 hours of my life wasted staring at Angelina's ugly mug.
Here's a VERY brief description from Amazon - trust me, it doesn't do justice to the concept: What if everything in your life was out of your hands and those around you propelled your fate? Your girlfriend left you for your best friend; your boss gave your job to someone better. What if then, after all this, someone gave you back total control? What if he revealed you were the next in line to join a secret society of super-villians that controlled the entire planet? Mark Millar and J.G. Jones provide a look at one man who goes from being the world's biggest loser to the deadliest assassin alive. The most talked-about superhero series of the year is now collected in this stunning hardcover edition! Mark Millar examines what happens when absolute power does corrupt absolutely, and everyman Wesley Gibson inherits incredible powers. Trackbacks

"Hancock" looks pretty good too - Will Smith is a drunk and disorderly sort of "Superman" and saves the life of a PR Exec (played by the ever brilliant Jason Bateman, of "Arrested Development" fame) who then decides to help Hancock clean up his image.

I Remember reading a couple issues of this back when you were at INS. It was an interesting read, so It'll be nice to see what they do with it in movie form.
