If you've listened to Podcast #26, you probably noticed that we only covered three episodes as opposed to our usual slate of four. This was an effort to bring the overall runtime down a little bit, pretty much solely to satisfy Peter. As misguided as this effort was in the podcast containing Darmok, I wanted to take a moment to give you an updated schedule for which episodes will be on our viewing schedule in the near future.

We have now arrived at what may be the best season of Star Trek The Next Generation yet, season 5. We also have decided to shake things up and move to a new format where we only discuss 3 episodes as a way of reducing total podcast time. I am not sure how successful we were on this one though, but come on we were talking about Darmok and we had a plethora of guests. We are also proud to announce that we have new sponsors!!! The following websites have now started sponsoring us: RocketWebDesign.com and GetAScent.com. You should definitely take a look. Lastly, we are no longer going to have a weeks delay from the time of recording to podcast posting. So we will be recording on Friday and posting on Monday. Let's see how long that lasts. ;)
We had 3 special guests for this podcast: my friend New York Maria, Aaron, and Jared. Our thanks to them for participating. This podcast covers episodes 1-3 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 5. Various topics discussed in this podcast include: Hidden prejudices Would you be a concubine? Well we have come to the end of season 4 and our 25th podcast (if you count the two lost podcasts). This podcast covers episodes 25-26 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 4. I think we must have both been tired, because there was a lot of editing out of long pauses, but it was an awesome wrap-up to the best season of TNG thus far.

Our latest round of Star Trek the Next Generation podcast gave us something new as well as some "sucks to be you" news. When Joey tried to save the audio file for Drumhead something went wrong with his computer (again) and it did not save. So we had to re-record our discussion of Drumhead. Luckily our special guest for this podcast, Pete's friend Jon Madsen, was willing to redo that entire discussion. Now you might say "aw sucks to be you" but because of that we were forced to try something new: phoning it in. So we got Pete's Friend Jon Madsen on the phone and we redid it. Everything sounded ok, so let's hope you don't find it annoying. If you aren't too angry about the sound, then this may be a way that we can get some out of town guests on to the podcast. This podcast covers episodes 21-24 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 4.

I couldn't decide which title to choose for this podcast, so I figured why not use a throw back from the old Rocky and Bullwinkle days. We did indeed see our first rating of 10 (though it does have an asterisk). And lastly, Joey really had a ton to say about The Nth Degree. We actually cut a bunch more that didn't make it in. Thankfully I am in charge of telling Joey what to cut. :) This podcast covers episodes 17-20 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 4.

Why the heck haven't we been keeping a list of hot trek babes during our watching? Was it because we wanted to go for substance and not sex appeal? No. We just weren't smart enough to think about it. Clearly we aren't above stooping to lower forms of entertainment. Well from this point on we are going to do a better job of looking for the hot chick. The recognition of hot chicks may just be the thing that rockets us to massive fame. Either that or make us look creepier than we already are.
This podcast covers episodes 13-16 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 4. We were joined by long time contributor Aaron and 2nd time participant Anne. Enjoy. Joey will be posting this entry, as Peter has closed all of his internets and can't get them open again. Even though we had no special guest, Peter was incredibly excited to talk about Data's Day, one of his favorite episodes, and the strong writing in Season 4 continues. This podcast covers episodes 9-12 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 4.

We recorded Podcast 20 in Joey's location, and it seems the microphone was unstable, as there's a persistent sound effect of the microphone 'rocking'. Oh well, we still had a good time discussing TNG. Also, it is worth noting that this podcast is under 2 hours. So all you complainers can stop crying. This podcast covers episodes 5-8 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 4. Our guest for this podcast is Aaron.

In case any of you wanted to participate more in the podcast, but were having trouble keeping track of when you needed to get you comments in, or get the episodes watched by, I've put together a list of the upcoming episodes and the corresponding podcast recording dates. If you want to come on the podcast but are having trouble locating a copy of the episodes, we can probably help you there as well.
Also, you might notice there's a recording gap on June 19th - this is the tenth anniversary of the day Joey managed to con someone into marrying him, and he thinks it's probably best if he doesn't plan on staying out late with Pete that night. Well we finally turned 18 and have had our curfew removed. And what a better time to have it happen than the end of Season 3. We have a lot of new things happening in this podcast. Including: our first simul-podcast with Jon and JR (we basically called them up right after they watched the new Star Trek Movie); and sound clips of our favorite moments from Season 3.

[ Another summary by Joey, due to network outages afflicting Peter.] After two consecutive weeks of just Peter and myself, we decided to take the fate of the podcast in our own four hands and attempt something no podcast has ever done before - two guests AT THE SAME TIME! OK, so maybe someone else has actually done it before, but we were both very excited to welcome back the self-proclaimed 'Father' of Trek West 5, Peter's Friend Jon Madsen of J.R. watches Star Trek for the first time, as well as our favorite Deviant Artist, Anne's sister Katie. Of course, with two guests, we found twice as much to talk about, so the final tally for this episode is about 10 minutes shy of 3 hours.

We're running a little bit behind because Pete can't tell the difference between a video file and the MP3s of our podcast, so tonight the summary is brought to you by Joey!
This is the second consecutive podcast where it was just Pete and I - we had really hoped to have Jared back on for this podcast, but time did not allow - and, as a result, you'll hear at least 2 pleas from us that you either come on the show, or send us comments, or even just send us an email telling everyone how bad you hate Pete! I think we'd read just about anything "on the air" at this point. This podcast covers episodes 17-20 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3. Pete's Friend Jon Madsen repeated his previous 'verbal gymnastics', sending some notes over IM that we recorded - see, I told you we'd read just about anything! Various topics discussed in this podcast include: Klingons have no honor Animal experimentation: wrong or right? Anarchy: what's the hype? When is kidnapping mistreatment? Sometimes God Has a Kid's Face Horga'hn (pronounced whore-gone) doesn't do what you might expect! Pete is fascinated with the portrayal of men's nipples on television Joey wouldn't trust future-Pete Another plea to listeners to provide new points of view Joey ignores his voices for the good of humanity Would you want to read minds? Monday, April 27. 2009Podcast 15: Yar, she's back!
Well as much as I love to go on and on about how horrible Tasha Yar is, her character actually put in a pretty good performance in "Yesterday's Enterprise." Denise Crosby reprises her role as Tasha Yar for a very good time disruption episode. Perhaps absence made our hearts grow fonder for her, or she actually managed to do a good job. Either way, I think everyone can agree, Wesley Crusher needs to be smacked in the face.
This podcast covers episodes 13-16 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3. While there was no special guest for this podcast, My Friend Jon Madsen did send us some notes over IM during the recording. So our thanks to him.
