Welcome to the third episode of our new podcast. Third you might ask? Well, due to catastrophic hardware failure, the "first" podcast will actually be "Episode 3", covering episodes 7 through 11 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 1.
To assist in getting a possibly bigger listenership(?) we have also created a separate Blogspot account called
. It will basically be the exact same posts as we make here but we thought we should mention it in case you prefer reading from Blogspot. Special thanks to Mrs. AoD for the Trek West 5 logo. It looks great.
As we review each show we will go over: the things that we liked and disliked about each tv episode; various political, philosophical, and humorous items; and then give each show a rating (between 1 and 10) based on its genre and as a general episode of tv.
Here are the ratings that we gave for each show:
Lonely Among Us:
AoD: SciFi - 3 Television - 1
Radar: SciFi - 2 Television - 1
Justice
AoD: SciFi - 5 Television - 1
Radar: SciFi - 4 Television - 2
The Battle
AoD: SciFi - 6.5 Television - 3
Radar: SciFi - 5 Television - 3
Hide & Q
AoD: SciFi - 7 Television - 3
Radar: SciFi - 6 Television - 3
Haven
AoD: SciFi - 2.5 Television - 4
Radar: SciFi - 3 Television - 2
We had recorded our comments on the episode of Haven, but due to some lag the recording was horribly jumbled and basically useless. The episode itself wasn't really that great so we did not feel the need to try and re-record it. Here are a few note-worthy items from the episode of haven: We get to meet Lwaxana Troi (Deana's mother) for the first time. At a wedding celebration dinner for Deana and Wyatt, Deana explodes in anger and yells at everyone to stop their "petty bickering" and storms off. Data then asks, in child like exuberance, if everyone would please continue the petty bickering, as he "finds it most intriguing." The unfortunate effects of biological warfare are discussed.
A lot of hard work went into this, and we both hope you will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. Feel free to comment and give your 2-cents about it.
