Seriously, I'll stop badmouthing Huckabee if anyone asks me too. But this guy is just too bad to be true! He's like the
Britney Spears of the political world. Self-centered, shallow, and way too well known for his own good. Just read this article and thought, 'How did he
win in Iowa?' Seriously. WTF.

I'll be honest. I don't think Huckabee has a snowball's chance anywhere outside the Bible belt. I think Giuliani will
also find that the national spotlight of a presidential campaign will make him wish he'd stayed in his 9/11 bunker.
That doesn't mean that Romney and McCain are stellar candidates. They just aren't as ugly as the other two.

I'd be very surprised to find that anyone here cares if you bash on ANY of the candidates, but I'm curious how you would
answer your own question: Who do YOU think should be President in 2008?

I haven't fully decided. I've more decided who of the Candidates I definitely don't want. But if I had to make a
choice today it would be Obama.

I could never vote for Obama because I'm very strongly AGAINST any sort of "social safety net for the poor",
which is one of Obama's primary platform strategies. I would prefer social Darwinism to expanding federal Ponzi schemes
like Social Security. It unfortunate, too, because many of his other ideas are pretty solid.
One note: he's made a bit of technical hay regarding his "promise" to "appoint a Chief Technology Officer to oversee the U.S. government's management of IT resources and promote wider access to government information and decision making", but it's a bit disingenuous...there's already a standing tradition of Presidents appointing a CTO. In fact, the office has what is probably one of the coolest acronyms ever - sounding like something right out of a Bond flick: Office of the Chief Technology Officer to the President of the United States. As sad as it is to say, I am comfortable with a certain amount of impropriety in politics and government. I am neither
surprised nor shocked about these allegations against Huckabee. You are always going to have people who are unhappy
with what you do. And despite how clean you may or may not be, they are going to slant what you do, to whatever end
they want.
I do not suggest that Huckabee is innocent, only be careful about how much you are willing to swallow from people who admittedly don't like the guy or what he stands for. It would be interesting to see how well this reporter (and all of us for that matter) would fair when the magnifying glass of public scrutiny is placed on him/us. I am with AoD; bring on the bashing, because as a man* I admire a lot would say: "let's raise the level of public debate in this country." *this is a fictitious man who has only ever existed in television.
